Jubail is Saudi Arabia’s industrial capital and one of the Gulf’s fastest-growing leisure cities, sitting on the Arabian Gulf coast between Dammam and Ras Al Khair. The residential districts spread around Al Fanateer corniche, the Royal Commission, and the newer coastal developments, while Tarout Island lies just off the coast to the south. Our fixed per-vehicle fares cover everything from a short city centre return to the long corridor runs south.

Twin-city layout: Jubail Industrial City (the world’s largest industrial city) and the residential leisure districts of Al Fanateer sit side by side. Most visitor activity is on the Fanateer side – the corniche, the beach clubs, the retail developments – with the industrial side serving the Royal Commission factories and Aramco affiliates.
Tarout Island: ~15 km south of the city – one of the oldest continuously inhabited sites in the Gulf, with Tarout Castle and a traditional fishing port. Our return fare from 150 SR sedan includes 30 minutes free waiting for the castle visit.
Dammam / Al Khobar corridor: ~100 km on Highway 615/612, about 1h15m door-to-door. Ideal for a day trip – return via Khobar’s waterfront dining from 320 SR sedan. See our Dammam to Jubail guidance.
Best time to visit: October-April for comfortable beach weather. Summer (May-September) is very hot and humid – mornings and evenings are best, and beach clubs with shade make the midday more bearable.
Airport: King Fahd International Airport (DMM) is ~100 km via the corridor. Fixed-rate transfers available – see our Jubail to Dammam Airport taxi.
Getting to Al Khobar: the Khobar corniche and dining areas are ~100 km from Jubail on the same corridor. Book ahead for evenings and weekends – the waterfront gets busy.
| Option | Availability | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ziyarah Taxi private | 24/7, pre-booked | Fixed fare from 100 SR, return-trip pricing with free waiting, full per-vehicle table, door-to-door, available across Jubail, Tarout Island and the corridor to Dammam and Khobar |
| Uber / Careem | App-based, dynamic pricing | Operates mainly in the populated districts – cheaper for very short rides, but surge pricing at peak times and no return-trip/waiting guarantee on the long corridor |
| Metered local taxi | Hail on street | Variable pricing, no fixed table, often unwilling to run the long Tarout or corridor trips |
| Car rental | Airport / city desks | ~150-250 SR/day for sedan – worthwhile for multiple scattered stops, but our return fares with free waiting can be simpler and cheaper for a day trip |
